As Schools Liaison Officer for the Institution of Engineering and Technology (IET) (external link) Education Programme, Omflow’s MD, Stephen Powley, offers educators in Derbyshire access to many resources, including funding.He also plays a pivotal role in organising STEM activities outside the school environment.Examples include a Mars Rover project at a primary school (external link) , soldering at a huge Scout and Guide camp (external link)  and a set of robot-related activities at Derby Silk Mill, as well as attending various careers events.

Stephen is also working at national level in partnership with UKSEF to develop resources to inspire young people to engage with electronics.
